Small Swedish House in Sweden

This is a simple project of Small Swedish House which is perfectly designed by Dinell Johansson. This house is located at the coast of Höganäs, Sweden by occupying total project area of around 57 square meters. The site seems to be very simple but it is enough to give full amount of comfort and peacefulness to the dwellers. With the touch of white tint, it gives a perfect and open impression to the house itself. Constructed with two special volumes, the existing Small Swedish House could accommodate that entire are commonly everyone needs.

The Small Swedish House is commonly known as a small summerhouse. Sit on the flat lot, the house seems to be very straightforward but expressive. The main entrance is welcomed by an open terrace linked by a glass sliding door. Going further, everyone will find a roomier internal space completed with kitchen area. On the next half upper floor, a master bedroom is positioned well connecter with a stairway on the right side of the entrance. We really like this house, what about you? The Small Swedish House creates a spatial economy as a joyful living space.

“This small summerhouse at the coast of Höganäs was modeled after Palladios famous villas in the Veneto. Different from those extraordinary estates, this house is all about spatial economy. The goal was to create a maximum amount of spatial subdivisions in a building whose size was limited by budget constraints. With Palladios villas it shares the intriguing quality of the cross shaped space and the idea of summer life as an utterly joyful experience.

Well, what you are looking above is kind of Roast Coffee Co architecture which is built in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. This building is designed by School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SARUP) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The project team of this building includes Adriana Arteaga, Chad Bloedel, Ali Carlucci, Joseph Luehring, Therese Hassett, Blake Villwock, and Kyle Talbott.

The product of a design studio of Roast Coffee Co is Double Overhead at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SARUP) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Double Overhead means to describe a wave that is two times the size of the surfer’s body. Concept lighting for this small coffee bar shows visions of the nearby Lake Michigan shoreline.

“Reviewed from archdaily.com, from the surfer’s lexicon of maritime terminology, “Double Overhead” is used to describe a wave that is two times the size of the surfer’s body.  A rare occurrence, a double overhead wave is an opportunity that beckons all generations of surfers.  As a lighting structure for a small coffee bar in post-industrial Milwaukee, the title conjures visions of the nearby Lake Michigan shoreline.  A median between barista and patron, the parametrically-designed light filter houses a more traditional track system and responds to the physical and experiential dynamics of the Roast Coffee Co. service counter.  Mass-customized components drop to partition intimate café seating from noisy barista clamor and rise for transactions of coffee and conversation.
Exploiting the shop’s eclectic mix of 1950’s modernist features with home-brewed touches, the materiality of the luminous curtain reflects an ethos of vintage and polish. Salvaged tube steel creates a skeleton that supports a cladding of reclaimed woods, including oak from a 150-year-old church and pine from a 100 year old barn.  Inspired by water kinetics, the mixture of wood types cultivates a pattern of swells and compressions.  Strands of recycled transparent materials run concurrently with the wood. These glowing capillaries constrict where a muted ambiance is desired and swell where a bright task light is preferred.  Responding to service counter dynamics, the elevations build momentum around critical exchange points between barista and patron.  Transparent materials are interwoven to illuminate task areas for the baristas.  Routed with variegated streaks, the strands agitate the quality of luminosity.  From underneath, these brilliant stripes glisten and undulate not unlike the steam rising from the nearby espresso machine.

Turner International Studios Designed

Perfectly designed by Mathias Klotz, Edgardo Minond, the existing building of Turner International Studios has grabbed people’s attention. The site is very contemporary which consist in the restoration of a patrimonial building as a private challenge. Thanks to the project team including Rafael Hevia, Hernán Araujo, Francisco Reyes, and Mariano Albornoz who have been handled the building well. The Turner International Studios is kind of a printing office which is located in the traditional Defensa area of Buenos Aires, Argentina. This site occupies total project area of around 2700 square meters.

A printing office of Turner International Studios seems to be very friendly environment. Inside the building, there are several plants adorning the inner core of the site. The building actually consists of working spaces, offices, meeting rooms and conference rooms which are situated well in the last two floors. Large dimension of the interior room is 10 x 12 x 12 meters completed with a big skylight.

“The Turner Studios project started as a private contest, consisting in the restoration of a patrimonial building that originally hosted a printing office, in the traditional Defensa area of Buenos Aires. The assignment was to distribute and design working spaces, offices, meeting rooms and conference rooms in the last two floors of the building, an interior space of 10 x 12 x 12 meters with perimeter windows and a big skylight in the centre.
